New Parking Lot Layout and Fire Lanes in Maxwell, TX
A first striping on fresh concrete: 522 linear feet of stall lines, 720 linear feet of red fire lane curb with stencils, and two accessible stalls.
What We Did
This property was brand new, with fresh concrete, new landscaping, and no markings at all, so the whole lot needed a first layout. Most of the work was fire lane: the curbs wrap around landscaped islands and long curving drives, and every one of them needed to read clearly as a fire lane.
We cleaned the new concrete first, then painted 720 linear feet of red fire lane curb and stenciled FIRE LANE and NO PARKING in white along the route. In the parking areas, we striped 522 linear feet of stall lines, two accessible stalls with blue symbols, and a crosshatched access aisle between them.
Curved curbs take more time than straight runs, because the paint has to follow the curb face cleanly through every bend. Taking that time is what allows the fire lane to look like part of the design instead of something painted on afterward.
